Recipe: Pancake light

150 g. of spelled flour

200 ml. of milk

2 tablespoons of sugar

1 teaspoon of bicarbonate


Pancakes are typical sweets of the culinary culture americana, often offered for breakfast, but they can also be presented as a meal. Generally they are served with miele, Maple syrup, fresh fruit the marmalade, so you can present them in every season with the fruit of the moment.

The forms they can take are the most variegated, so you can express all your imagination to create animals, form the theme for the event you are organizing. 

The first step is to prepare the batter. Jumbled up, with whisk or ladle, the farina, the sugar, the latte and a teaspoon of bicarbonate (alternatively the baking powder) in a large enough bowl. Continue in the action until you obtain a homogeneous lump-free mixture.

Then heat one no stick pan. Help yourself with paper towels dipped in’oil to grease the pan. Then pour some of the batter into the center of the pan.

When you see the top forming on the top bubbles, turn pancake and cook on the other side.

A “sweet tooth” variant of the original pancake is to insert a chocolate heart.  Resuming the actions described above, pour a mixture into the pan and add a teaspoon of nutella (a similar one), then cover with another bit’ of batter only at the chocolate heart. At this point, wait a couple of minutes, turn the pancake with the help of a spatula and cook on the other side as well.

Remember that when pouring the mixture into the pan you can create all the form you want to create different themes.
